Kinect

Am I a bitch for deciding after seeing this that I want to get back into gaming?

(original GTA was last game purchase.)

It's like the most casual thing ever, and there's nothing wrong with being a casual gamer. But of all the games that came out the past few years, kinect is what makes you want to get back into it?

Turned 31 today, and now weigh 190. I didn't think it was worth the $$ since I didn't really do much gaming on the PS2 in the later years.

But now, if I use it for some not-be-a-fatass purpose + gaming, it's then worth it (It's less than a gym membership).

I also wonder Halo or COD, but I figure that the fanboys for each will be unable to help me make that decision with a fair breakdown - going to investigate that on my own, me thinks.

CoD 4 is a bargain at this point. You can get it used for like $10-$15 and it has an amazing campaign. I just don't think you'd really enjoy the Kinect thing very much, let alone get any tangible workout from it.

Can I jump into COD4 w/o having played COD1-3?

Red Dead Redemption looks solid.

Wait, so I see COD4: Modern Warfare for 15, better or worse than COD2?

Red Dead is probably the game of the year. Super Meat Boy was my personal favorite, but RDR is a close second.

As far as that list goes, while I loved the Halo 3 multiplayer, I don't think you would get anything out of that game, nor do I think you would enjoy Assassin's Creed II or Borderlands. The Assassin's Creed series is the most overhyped pile of shit I've ever seen. I do agree with the rest of that list though, although I probably wouldn't rank them in that order.

And yeah, Cod4 poops on Cod2.

OK, so I haven't gotten the console yet, but I used some expiring Reward Zone points to get games.. so I now have:

Batman Arkam Asylum
Gears of War 2
COD4

....now I just need the console...

Picked GOW2 over Fallout 3 and Mass Effect 2...

Will probably get RDR for Christmas.

You won't be disappointed with any of those.. don't forget about Oblivion, which is probably around $5-$10 now. Hope you enjoy.

Good selection. I would highly recommend playing Mass Effect 1 before 2 because the storyline is that series is very important (and awesome, to boot).

Oh, also... the New Red Dead Zombie game...... Yes/no?

Do i need RDR original first?

I went ahead and got a 12 mo. XBL membership. Do they have support for old games (Iike the 3 i mentioned?) or should I get some new game that everyone's moved onto like black ops?

I'd beat RDR before I crossed that bridge. Undead Nightmare is downloadable content that you can add on to the game.

All of the games you're looking at should be supported that way, and if you need someone to play CoD4 or something like that with, you can holler at me on there. My gamertag is iR Ren Ho3k.
