NL Central Thread

Does anybody still doubt that the reds are going to be the real deal this year?

I was referring to Motte, but Freese has since joined him on the DL. Not looking good.

Also, when are they going to learn that booing Brandon Phillips makes him play better?

I hope you enjoyed that 9th inning. It's all downhill from there.

As far as problems go, a bad bullpen is an easy one to fix, but Moz needs to get on that soon.

Cards rotation: 2.17 ERA
Bullpen: 5.02 ERA

Bullpen is looking solid again today. It's probably going to be short-lived, as Milwaukee always gives us trouble, but please give a round of applause to your first place Pittsburgh Pirates.

They've won 14 of their past 19...

Against a halfway decent schedule too. Shame we shit the bed against the Cubs and Dodgers.

Jaime Garcia could give up 28 earned runs without recording an out tomorrow and the Cardinals would still have the best rotation ERA in the majors.

Shelby emerging big time. I liked that kid...Wainwright is just returning to form. Took him a year, but he's back.

As much as I love spoiling the Reds best start ever by being even better, it's really annoying being the best team in baseball and only have a game and a half lead.
